GeForce 4 MX440 showing as an MX 420?
Topic says it all really. My mate sent me his old GeForce 4 MX 440 (which supports pixel shading, and vertex shading) but my PC reports it's an MX 420. But I looked at the image he sent me of it, and it looks more like a 440 than a 420. I have emailed NVidia about this, but have had no reply yet. Also since it is using the 420 drivers, it isn't using the cards "full" memory bandwidth. I have put an image to show you.
Any one know why it is showing as a 420?

The driver is the same for all GeForces, he said it said GeForce 4 MX 440. Mine says MX 420.

Me and dilligaf have tried to search for it using the FCC number, but we can't find one on the card. Looks like NVidia never put one on it.

I was using a Pine 3D Phantom XP SiS 315 64MB 4X AGP (which ran in 2x AGP)

Err no I didn't actually. I thought 2000 would remove them automatically.

Removed the SiS drivers, still says MX 420.
