transfer error ?

hi all,

i am trying to install the game championship manager 03-04, but during the installation i encounter the error:

error 1311.source file not found: E:\data1.cab verify that file exists and that you can access it

the game installs fine on other computers, also the disc is not scratched, i have tried the disc on both of my cd drives.....

does anyone have a solution to this problem ?

can you copy the contents of the CD to HDD and install from there? Or if there's some copy protection, can you make an image of the CD and use Daemon Tools to run the image version virtually?

it brings up the exact same error.



edit got it working, i uninsalled daemon tools and it worked

heh, weird....never seen that message because of Daemon Tools

Certain copy protection methods in games will cause them not to install and or run if you have virtual drive software running, Starforce 3 being the most recent but I believe older versions of SF and even Safedisc detect D-tools and Alcohol 120%

now its crashing with a box saying match tactics error repeatidly......

patched to the latest version...

if it works fine on other computers try just copying over the cm folder to your pc
