I'd like to know how much it would cost, per month and how DRM would restrict 'other' activities on the pc, like p2p?

Re: windows digital media center

Well I guess it would depend on the installer. If it's the installers I've had round to my house before (usually the sub-contractors) then I would echo Kronas' thoughts of 'drop it and leave please'.

If it was some of the tech guys I've had round here, I'd be pretty happy to let them loose on it. Saying that, it ain't that difficult to set MSMC

Re: windows digital media center

the thing is all the NTL boxes are IrDR and MCE sends commands to the STB in RC5. Also how will they be getting the output from the STB via RF or putting this throuhg a convertor. Who pays for all the cables etc as well.

If they had better converters etc and could get an RGB signal into my MCE machine that was EXACTLY the same as my scart connection to the TV then I wouldn't mind them coming out otherwise i'd rather just set this up myself. if MS are behind it then we might see some good results.
