Network Bridge On Windows 2000

Hi All....

I am setting up an internet station in the shop that I work at part time. I have a small desktop that I am going to use for the job.

I have fitted a second NIC in the main pc in the shop that is connected to the server. I am after some kind of software that will bridge the connections via a service so that the guy who owns the shop can enable and disable the internet connection from the main computer.

Any ideas ? I dont realy want to plug this machine into the main lan ATM !

Re: Network Bridge On Windows 2000

To be honest it might be worth thinking about upgrading to windows xp, if not you could install some kind of proxy sever on the 2000 machine. A good free one which (although looks complex) is easy to set up is squid (http://www.acmeconsulting.it/pagine/.../squidnt25.htm) then when you wanted to stop internet access you would just stop the squid service on the main machine.
Hope this helps!!
