Three good options imo:
Talk to people while they're blocked.
Keep talking to people even after appear offline.
Keep talking to people even after signing out.

Dont know but IF you plan on installing this DO NOT install the Navexcel toolbar. Just removed 20 traces of it. In other words its spyware.

I never installed 3rd party stuff onto messenger, always messes it up somehow.

Are you real ? How on earth do you consider them to be good options.
FYI - I have cured the adverts by blocking rad.msn.com on my firewall.

Do you run ZA? If so how do i configure it to block the ads? as im having the same problem

No idea how you do it in ZA, but you could just add ;
127.0.0.1 rad.msn.com
to your hosts file, it will have the same effect.
