This is some useful info for people that
DO NOT have the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 or 1a installed on their machine.
For those of you who are not sure what java is, its an application used on the internet to display bvarious things such as (those on a broadband connection) the ADSLGuide broadband speedtester or if you go to the MSN Gaming Zone website some of the games on there require Java software to work properly.
For those of you who don't know if you currently have Java installed on your PC, i found a helpful little tool on the Microsoft website that can be downloaded from
here.
For those of you who already have the Windows XP Service Pack 1 or 1a installed, Microsoft disabled their version of Java Virtual Machine. But there is no need to worry because you can download Java software from Sun Microsystems. Their download can be found
here
This can be downloaded straight into your browser or it can be manually downloaded to your Windows Desktop and be installed from there.
