stamp92, do you know the firmware of your DVD burner. I have the NEC2500 too. Mine came with 1.05. I have flashed it up to 1.06. I'll try and dig up the link for you.

You may find some DVD players can't play -r and some can't play +r. Have you played other -r disks on your player?
