This happens mainly on the discovery/nat geo and such likes, but can happen on the movies as well. movies tend to lose picture for about 2 secs or freeze for a couple of secs.

but the scratchy noise thing comes and goes, I may not get it for a few weeks now, I have not had it in about a week so far.

Maybe nothing can be done, just the cables or something.
