Smile Connect PSP to wireless NTL broadband

I have NTL cable broadband connected to a PC (xp pro). The PC has a wireless network card. Can I configure my PC wireless network settings to allow the PSP to connect and share the broadband internet connection via the wirless network card.

I know the standard way is to use a broadband wireless router, but I just wanted to check if I can do it on the cheap.

You can do it without a router. It is called using "Ad hoc" mode. Its more fiddly to set up normally, but possible.

Set up a network connection in ad hoc mode on the PSP, but I am not sure what you have to do on your PC.

Re: Connect PSP to wireless NTL broadband

The only thing about doing it that way is that your PC will have to be on in order for it to work.

I have mine set up to use my wireless router.

Might be easier to get a router for £30 quid, I have also linked my ps2 wirelessly using a bridge (£30) . Will give you details of my cheap set up if you want.
