Older PS3 PSN problems
A number of gaming/tech sites are reporting that some folks with older PS3's have been having problems connecting to PSN, happened to a friend with her machine last night.

Anyone here having any problems? Like others my slim seems unaffected by the problem.
Hope they fix it, I'll need my co-op Borderlands fix later

The current rumours seem to suggest a problem with the PS3 handling leap years.
Today is the first even non-leap year since the PS3 was launched and the problem is affecting online and offline consoles.
Hopefully after 24 hours it'll sort itself out. If not

Re: Older PS3 PSN problems
I'd expect a firmware update sometime soon.
Hopefully Sony's dev teams will be into full swing fixing and testing the bug.
Not going to gloat because -
1. I'm not a xbox fanboy.
&
2. I know the pain when your console goes wrong (x2).
