I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that American games work on English ps3 is this correct? ,my dad is in America and thinking of asking him to get me MGS4 and a rumble controller wil that also work ??
Yep, PS3 games are region free (as are the controllers, so a US DualShock3 will happily work on a UK PS3).
The only slight issue is that some games have region locked multiplayer, so if you play an American one on a UK console, you can only play with Americans.
