What will this mean to blu-ray owners like us PS3 owners? Cheaper disks?
Properly not for a while, if anything Sony will let up on promoting Blu-ray so aggressively. Competition is good and it's a big part of the reason all these Blu-Ray profile updates have been coming out in order to combat the advanced feature set of HD-DVD.
Sony are going to want to try and reduce the amount they spend in the format war now. They still have DVD and online distribution to fight though..
Services: Virgin for TV, BT for phone and Be* for Broadband.
