best way to connect ps2 to ntl broadband

will get ntl 9.99 broadband soon which will be set up in front downstairs room,but want to use ps2 online in upstairs bedroom what is the best way to connect it.dont want to run ethernet cable from cable modem to ps2 upstairs.do i need to have a pc to use a wireless router because i dont have a pc

You need a PC to be able to set-up ntl broadband when you first get it.

The PS2 question....

Yep, you need a PC if you get a router (wireless or not). There's no way of configuring the router if you don't have a PC.

No, the PS2 can just pick it's IP address up from the router.
