Quick Question For Anyone...

Sorry, im sure this is a stupid question but i am very new to the PS2 online gaming and i decided instead of buying a router so both my computer and PS2 can have access to the cable modem at the time, that i will just plug in my cable modem to either one when i am using it...so when i plug the ethernet cord into the back of my PS2, do i also need to have a phone line plugged into where it says "line" on the back?...some please help with this

Hi,

to Cable Forum.

You're gonna be better off having a router I think.

Every time you swap from PC to PS2 you will need to reboot the Cable Modem.

Not sure about the phone line though, sure someone will be along soon with a better idea how these things work.

I used to unplug and reboot all the time, drove me mad in the end. Grab a cheap Linksys router from ebuyer for Ã‚Â£30 and away you go (wireless as well).

You dont need a phone to be be able to play online gaming if you have a cable modem
