Re: Modchip
Sorry, but there'll be no discussion here of where to obtain modchips.

Re: Modchip
Mod chips dont actually allow you to play import games on a ps2, no one has actually successfully managed that little trick yet, all mod chips do is allow the playing of back up games on dvd's or cdr's depending on whats been removed from the game and the age of the ps2 as the early ps2's can only read the cdrs and not the dvd backups, oh they also allow the playing of copied dvd movies and also avi movies as well.

I suspect Sony would argue that is illegal.

Re: Modchip
I think the answer is no - I'm sure there are forums better suited to discuss such matters.

Re: Modchip
I don't think modchips are legal. Sony tried to sue people who had them installed. It would possibly be less risky to simply import a US console and play US games on that (Although you would need a step down transformer to avoid blowing it up!)

Sorry bout that, I took it that you were saying the playing of import games was illegal as well - didn't mean to sound as if I was snapping back (stressful day at work!)
