You have perfectly illustrated what I mentioned in my guide on proxies and what the techies keep trying to drum into people (without much success so far). When not manually specifying a server - i.e allowing NTL to route you via the transparent caches - you do not use one specific proxy - you use a group - when you visit different sites, you use different cache servers in your group.
