Beatles Rockband and Guitar Hero 5

Hopefully someone will have a notion of what Im asking here!!

Anyhow - a friend of mine has got the Beatles Rockband - Value Edition and I have got the Limited Edition of the same game.

We were both thinking of buying Guitar Hero 5, but have heard that the instruments supplied in the Rockband packs are not compatible with Guitar Hero. Ive also heard a conflicting report that they will work with GH5 but no previous incarnations of the game?!

I'd be grateful if someone could provide a bit of clarification on this for us!!

We're concerned that we'll buy the game and then find that we need to purchase new instruments!!!

Hmm doesnt look promising does it!! Seems that the Wii controllers are the only ones which aren't compatible!!

I just googled for it as I do not use the Xbox for that type of game more HERE
