Splinter Cell 2
Not long now 'till Pandora Tomorrow!
Who else is really looking forward to this?
It should be great!
The original was one of the best single-player games on the XBox, & with the added XBL function, the sequel should be even better.
I read a review of SC2 yesterday (on the C4 teletext video game section). They loved it. They said the single player mode isn't really much different to the original (but still v good!), & they also said it's XBL mode is absolutely brilliant.
I think this should be the game to finally get me interested in XBL again (I didn't like CS & RS3 much, & got bored with PGR2 v quickly...I haven't really had much fun with XBL since the halycon days of RtCW last year, lol)

Re: Splinter Cell 2
I know this is the XBox forum but I'm really looking forward to the game on PC, the first one was awesome with amazing physics like when you walked through a curtain etc.

Re: Splinter Cell 2
The first game was great but I thought the amazing lighting/shading etc. was wasted by moving around most of the time wearing night vision or in darkness.
I'll be getting SC:PT - does anyone know what game types there are in Live?

I'm not 100% sure of the details, but it's something like this:
2v2, with 2 players as Sam Fisher type spies, & 2 as mercenaries/terrorists.
The 2 spies play in 3rd person, like in the single player game, & have the 3rd Echelon type gadgets. The 2 mercs play in 1st person, & have other accessories. Each side has its own advantages & disadvantages.
Sounds v good from what I have read of it, & certainly makes a change from the standard "kill everyone" FPS games.

Re: Splinter Cell 2
Does anyone know if this game offers a system link mode? If so can you play competitive only or also cooperative? If system link is supported, is it 1 person per console or 2 per console?
Also, can I play this online with 2 xboxes behind the same router?
Any replies much appreciated!

Yes, AFAIK it does have a System Link mode. Not sure if the game types are the same or different as the XBL mode.
As long as each XBox has a seperate XBL account & Tag, I don't see why you couldn't use both online at the same time.
