[Merged] Dead or Alive 4
Howdy all
I played DOA 4 and was doing quite well in the story mode, completed about 6-7 game characters and had the costumes unlocked as well as some of the other characters and achievements.
When I switched it off one night and went to come back on again the next day, all the new costumes/characters had disappeared , but the achivements window was fine.
Have had to start again from the beginning, but issue has not happened since.
anybody else have any similar issue, or know what caused this?

Re: DOA 4 problems
Havn't had the problems that you've had but Im fed-up with the lag on xbox live with this game - only once there wasn't any lag. Traded it in now anyway.

Re: DOA 4 problems
Its seems to be caused by the game loading before the 360 has managed to load your gamer profile. Best thing to do is start up the machine with the disc try empty or open. COD2 seems to have a similar bug in it.
Yea the lag is terrible on this game. They need to sort it out soon.

Re: DOA 4 problems
liam it's a well documented bug in the game, you have indeed lost your save game file, nothing you can try will retreive it as DOA4 has overwritten it.

Dead or Alive 4
I've started to play this again as GR:AW was in severe danger of making me throw the telly and Xbox out the nearest window.
When I fired it back up it downloaded a patch (presumably to stop the wiping of save games during loadup) but since then I've found the hardness has increased considerably.
At first I thought it might have been put onto a harder difficulty but all the settings are the same as previously.
Now fighting through is sometimes like taking on Alpha in every round with 7-8 hit combos and countermoves thrown at you all the time.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or is just a severe case of rustyness on my part?

Re: Dead or Alive 4
Ah fair enough. At least now I know I'm not going nuts.

Ah and looking up my trusty Japanese > English dictionary I see Balancing translates as:
"Makes the game ridiculously hard with the characters fighting you throwing every move and possible combo at you and reversing most of your attacks."
Its a bit of a pain in the cheeks to be honest. When you are even getting a kicking with your favourite player against the ladyboy character you tend to resort back to button bashing as opposed to trying timing or skill.
Unless you have memorised a couple of 20 hit combos you can pull off you know that most attacks will be stopped in their tracks by the opponent.
