I've just ordered a Wireless Linksys WRT54GS for Xboxlive and to use with my 10MB Ntl connection.

Did you order it from PC World? http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/852034

You got me thinking now whether i can use the pcworld usb adaptor instead of the official xbox adaptor to connect my xbox 360? If i don't ill cancel the amazon order.

[edit]

I cancelled my Amazon order and went for the PC World one.

Cheers

Re: Ordered a Linksys WRT54GS

Could have been a mistake there cancelling the amazon order, as i don't think that the xbox 360 will accept any other usb based wireless adaptor other than the official xbox 360 one.

I may be completely wrong though! Its just that i thought the device had to be certificated by MS before it would work...

On the plus side the routers excellent i use it, alotugh i dont use wireless for the xbox just for other PC's! Very easy to set up and secure!

Re: Ordered a Linksys WRT54GS

Oh well it's worth a try.

The router is cheaper there with the free usb adaptor than it is at Amazon. If it doesn't work then ill purchase the official adaptor.

Now time to google and try and find out if it'll work or not

Re: Ordered a Linksys WRT54GS

The 360 will only accept the official Microsoft Wireless Adaptor as the drivers are preloaded.
