Xbox Live Marketplace Performance
Wanted to see others opinions of the performance of xbox live marketplace.

I, like a lot of you on NTL will have the 10meg connection. No matter what I download from marketplace, the downloads crawl and never complete. I've cancelled and retried many times with no success.

I'll played about will all my router settings (Linksys WRT54G) and even put the xbox on the DMZ but no matter what i try (toggle UPNP, open ports, DMZ) the downloads crawl.

This obvioulsy makes the wait for small games (30meg or thereabouts) painfull and the larger files (600meg demos) impossible. I want the condemed and quake 4 demo's and can't.

Before I complain to M$ anyone had similair experiences and have you fixed it or just given up on it

the servers are getting hammered at peak time, it's been ok after 1am lol.
just as well i'm on the month trial i can't see myself subbing at this rate.

deadite you dont need to pay anything to get access to the marketplace, Xbox Live silver is a free service, considering the downloading of game demo's is normally something you need to buy magazines for and the fact some demo's are on there well in advance of the games release i think MSoft need praise for giving something free which would be very lucrative.
