Xbox Live Grrrrr!! Microsoft Grrrrr!!

Right here goes, created an account on xbox live (360), put it in my sons name who has a hotmail account but he is only 12, half way through creating the account it asked for parental authorisation because he is under the age of 13, I did this and it all went through ok. Tried to play both Tiger Woods and Fifa 2006 and it said that the account was locked please contact EA Sports customer service, so I went online and it said he was under age and to contact Microsoft, this is where the fun started. Contacted Microsoft so many times, people just put the phone down, others said they weren't trained up on xbox live (xbox live support line, doh), eventually got through to someone who knew what they were talking about, he said delete the account on the console, which I did and to create another one in my name, did this but it wants another £39.99 off me(*******s). There's a lot more to this story but I'm starting to foam at the mouth now.
Is there a way to edit an xbox live account once its been created?
Thanx for any replies

Have you checked the family settings option on the console, just wondering if they have been turned on. See here for more info: http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/support/xb...lysettings.htm andhttp://www.xbox.com/en-GB/support/xb...vecontrols.htm

If not with xbox live accounts you can usually edit the details, if you go into account management, you can access most of you settings and change details, you should be able to change most of the details there, give it a try. You access account management from your gamer profile.

I don't know if its the same but on the old Xbox if you cancelled your account you where refunded the percentage you didn't use (100% for you). In your case I'd phone customer support cancel the original and make a new one.

They normally credit your account within 3 working days
