Again, no - unfortunately not.
My Plan of action is as follows:
1. My mate has kindly lent me his known good HDMI cable that he uses for his X360.
2. Test old cable with my other HDMI TV and Xbox (and also with new lent cable).
3. Scream and stamp my feet if its the Xbox that's at fault

Yes as that particular TV only has one HDMI socket and input in the TV software....

Just been playing and I've figured out its the TVs HDMI port at fault which isn't ideal....but at least it isn't the new 360
