Now, this is a networking question!

Here goes,

I considered a NAS last week to sit on my network for my 3 pc's and 2 xbox 360's......but...firstly I forgot about the item on Ebay and have since found this.

http://www.tp-link.com/products/prod...=TL%2DWR1043ND

Im pretty sure theres and ADSL and cable version of this or the one does both, and is priced around £50 not bad for a Gigabyte LAN wireless "N" router I thought,

My question is, do you thinks its possible to connect any old external USB HDD to the router as it also has a USB socket for this reason, but I wonder if the 360's would see it.....it has the usual Upnp etc but Im no genius at this kinda stuff.

Just as I imagine many people like me will be wanting a Gigabyte router to go with their 50Mb broadband as the freebie from VM aint!

For me this would do 2 jobs in one,

Found this place at a good price,http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/prod...WR1043ND&af=50

Ps I have had TP Link router and switch for 4 years without a single issue, and my current one works with the 50Mb

Re: Now, this is a networking question!

Just to update,

I have ordered one of these as I've been told it will do ADSL or cable as there is no RJ11 connection,

Also for you 360 guy's like me this has a USB connection on the back and someone on an Australian forum has confirmed they have a 1TB HDD connected and both their 360's can read the media on the HDD connected to the router...

Perhaps I have slept through or just missed something but this seems an ideal solution for me until I can afford a large capacity NAS worth having,

Once its arrived I'll test, attached a HDD and post back,
