XBox 360 Info needed
Hi,
I am thinking about getting an XBox 360 Arcade and am after some info
1. Does it come with a Scart socket or is it phono plugs?
2. I am aware the XBox 360 Arcade doesn't come with the hard drive, will all games just run off the disk ?
3. When I get a hard drive in the future does it just plug in ?
4. Is there anything else I need to know about the XBox 360 ?

Re: XBox 360 Info needed
1. Does it come with a Scart socket or is it phono plugs? It comes with a cable with a scart adapter, but it actually has phono type leads on the end.
2. I am aware the XBox 360 Arcade doesn't come with the hard drive, will all games just run off the disk ? Yes, but you wouldn't be able to download things off the Live network, i.e. arcade games, videos etc. It does have a small internal memory unit, which holds the operating system, but has some space on it for game saves etc.
3. When I get a hard drive in the future does it just plug in ? Yes.

What is the different between the XBox 360 Arcade and Elite
Is it just the colour and hard drive and accessories

Re: XBox 360 Info needed
The Elite comes with an HDMI port and cable though, I don't think the Arcade has a HDMI port. Atleast it never used too...

but... you were correct in the first place.
Oh and the answer to question 2 is that there are a few games (like 2 or 3) that require a hard drive (football manager being one of them - i think). There are also some games like Forza 3 which, while will play from one disk, requires an install from a second disk so you can access the full content.

Re: XBox 360 Info needed
it doesn't. The content disc is a full 4gig DVD + the game install onto HDD to make it run quietly

Re: XBox 360 Info needed
...I've also installed lots of DLC (vids and extra cars etc) ... I just checked and the basic 2DVDs are 4gb altogether and my DLC is almost 2gb so I mis-calculated

Never was any good at adding up
