Does anybody know if it's possible to have two Live accounts on the one console sharing the same Gold membership ?

Nope, it isn't.

Each individual XBL account requires its own individual Silver or Gold membership. You can't share a Gold membership.

You can have two Gold accounts on the same console, but both have to cough up to M$.
