Re: Signup for the Xbox LIVE Update Preview Program
It's a preview for the upcoming dashboard update:
http://kotaku.com/5316580/xbox-live-...ie-party--more
MS did a similar thing before the NXE.

Re: Signup for the Xbox LIVE Update Preview Program
I've applied.
Not sure there'll really be much for us to preview though.
Twitter/Facebook/last.fm integration isn't in the next dashboard update.
Netflix updates are meaningless for those of us in the UK & Europe.
Avatar Marketplace? Meh, I'm not wasting money buying virtual clothing for my stupid avatar [although, going by the PS3's "Home", I bet plenty of people will ]
Other things look useful, but minor.
Still, it seems they're at least adding the ability to use a debit card at long last.

I like the idea though of having virtual objects that your avatar can interact with, electric guitars for instance. What's the betting though that MS don't allow weapons, for example, machine guns and the like. Zero probability on that front I would have thought.

sweet, then I will finally be able to renew my subscription to XBL through the dashboard instead of having to purchase the pre paid cards.

Re: Signup for the Xbox LIVE Update Preview Program
11th August is the given date for the update to hit all consoles, so this would be a very short preview test indeed.

Erm - why would you want to pay over the odds direct to M$ when you can get XBL cheaper elsewhere? £26.99 for 12m from http://instantlivecodes.com/
---------- Post added at 13:35 ---------- Previous post was at 13:32 ----------
Vs £39.99 direct from M$
