xbox wireless adaptor - virgin internet /lynksys router - not working (red light)

hi guys

i have bought a wireless adaptor for xbox. i have connected it, but i can't find the option to 'scan for networks' in the menu settings (latest dashboard) or highlight any 'wireless option'.

Under networks, it says "basic setting" which i can enter and basically have to fill information i.e. username/password / ppoe etc

can anyone assist?

Go to the following link and input the data it askf for like isp, router make and model etc etc and it will then tell you want you need to do

Ok so what your saying is that when you go on to networksettings on the dashboard it wont give you any wirless scan option?

(New dashboard)
*When first starting up your xbox on the dshboard go up one to "My Xbox"
*Once on "My Xbox" go alll the way to the right and go on "System Settings"
*Once in "system settings" go on "Network settings"
*Once on "network settings go on "Configure Network"

(And this is where people often forget to press A once again)

*So you should now have alll the technicle stuff; IP Settings,IP Adress....Press A once on this screen and it should give you 2 choies, one of them being "Scan for wirless" or something like that.

Is your router broadcasting its SSID?

You may need to turn this option on first.

Have you bought the official wireless adapter or a normal usb one.
