Hi Sean,

If you look at the adapter while it is plugged in, what colour is the light? Off/Red/Green? Also do you have any security set on your router or MAC Filtering enabled

Re: xbox wireless connection-xbox not picking signal up.

I have a similar problem

I have just replaced an old Linksys router withthe Sitecom WL 308 gaming router.

In my house I have
1 Desktop PC and 2 Laptops all connecting wireless
1 Wii connected wireless
1 XBOX 360 direct wired to router
1 PS3 direct wired to router
1 XBOX 360 connected wireless

All were working with the old router but I was experiencing some signal drop outs and disconnections during on-line gaming.

The Sitecom router set up OK although one laptop needed the wireless adaptor drivers updating to accept WPA encryption. The old router was WEP.

The problem is the wirless connected XBOX which cannot find the router. The Xbox is located is a bedroom but even when moving down within 2 m of the router it still will not find it but it does pick up other routers in my street.

I alos took the XBOX adaptor to my sons house and tried on his. As expected it was able to find and connect to his router with no problem.

The Wii also found the router fine and connected with no problem.

The router is set to visible.

Please can anyone offer some help.

Are your routers broadcasting the SSID?
