One to watch - Microsoft Xbox 360 scratched discs

One to keep an eye on:

I watched BBC's Watchdog earlier this week and there was an bit on Xbox and scratched discs. Linkage here to BBC website blog and video.

At this moment in time Microsoft are not replacing or refunding money for damaged discs, or even reworking consoles to latest specification. There is a court action in America against them, but it hasn't completed yet. I think they are going to run an update on future problems, so there may be light at the end of the tunnel and paying customers may get some money back for the damaged discs.

Seen this to lastnight but already knew about it. Surprised it took them so long to pick up on it tbh there have been complaints about it from day one. To be fair they are apparently getting alot better but this does not excuse the problems in the first place that M$ are happy to blame on their customers rather than admitt they rushed out an unfinished product.

Isn't it a problem with the DVD player? there's three types I think so might be just the one that scratches the DVDs.

Hasn't happened to me, but all my games are copies of my originals. so if it did I'd just copy it again.
