Xbox Died. Questions on sending back!
Ok, So my Xbox 360 actually died with the 3 Red Rings of death .
So I have booked a repair online, and got sent my label and have purchased a box.
My questions are regarding the label they sent me (attached). It's complicated Which sections do I include on the parcel and how should I attach it?
1. What on earth is a Shipping pouch as stated in section 2. Do I include the weird hash type picture to the right of the instructions on the parcel? Also, Do I include the signature part or just the part under it?
Cheers

Re: Xbox Died. Questions on sending back!
RIP another 360
Include the whole thing, & fold it where it says "fold here"
A shipping pouch is a plastic pouch type thing with a clear front & sticky back. If you had one, you'd put the label inside it with the main bit visible, & stick it to the box.

Re: Xbox Died. Questions on sending back!
Sign the bit where indicated, fold it along the line which is under where it says 'FOLD HERE'.
The bit with teh big barcode needs to be visible when it's attached to the packaging, a document pouch is a small clear envelope that sticks to the front of the parcel and you put that label inside it.
You haven't got one of those though so you need to tape the label to the front of the package using clear tape on all four edges, then you need to completely cover the label with long strips of clear tape to protect it whilst it's in the system.
The only other thing you might need to do is complete a 'sales invoice' (I know, I know, you're not selling anything) - this is basically a customs declaration with some other information on it that the customs officers can use to decide whether there's any import/export duty due. Your best bet regardint this is to call UPS and get their advice, they can also tell you where to download that paperwork. I don't think you'll need to do this though as you're posting within the EU.

You really don't need one, just cover it completely in clear tape.

Re: Xbox Died. Questions on sending back!
You may be able to get one at a post office.
But you can just use clear tape as it says on the label.

Won't that permanently damage the paper should they try to remove it and trap the other bit behind the tape, forcing them to rip it up?

Re: Xbox Died. Questions on sending back!
Their instructions (number 2 on the label you've posted) and not mine
Seriously though, what they'll do if they need to get to the back is cut through the tape all around the edge of the label - this will allow them to remove the label intact and read the bit with your signature on.

Re: Xbox Died. Questions on sending back!
No worries - I sent my practical exam submission to the USA last week using UPS and labelled it in exactly this way, it arrived safely on Thursday two days after it was sent
