GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
Hey guys, is the addon to GTA IV any good? Been thinking about getting it, but I would like to know from fellow members what they think of it and whether its worth it?

It's not a waste, just me. I have it. It answers a hell of a lot of questions from Niko's story. The graphics you can change. It has an effect called noise turned on by default. You can turn this off which gives you the same graphics as GTA4.
It's certainly worth it for £14. 23 missions, more random characters, more online games, more games to play in single player.
You certainly can't say it's a waste of money.

Re: GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
Define extras? There's about 4/5 new online games. I'm not sure what you mean by extras though.

Re: GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
I think it's good, so far (I've only done the first couple of missions).
It has reminded me though how much I hated motorbikes in GTA IV.

In this they're a hell of a lot better, though. I only ever use a car now if I have to on a misison.

Re: GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
I hated the game in the 1st place, not buying the addon for 1600 MS Points, that really does seem a waste to me, besides, the Halo 3 Mythic Maps will be out soon and theres crap loads of achievements to be got from them.

Re: GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
Hmmmm I see its £13.99 on amazon so is that what 1600 work out at then ? seems a bit steep to me tbh. Did want to get this when it was first announced but I think its becomming a bit of a rip off for stuff that could of been added to the full game.
Still undecided yet but for now I think I will leave it. Plenty more stuff around and comming out soon so cant justify £14 on some DLC at the moment. Maybe pick it up later in the year.

Re: GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
Anyone know if there's any point taking the three possible Friends out (Clay, Terry, & another one I've forgotten)?
IIRC, with the main GTA IV, it was worth increasing their Like/Respect ratings of you 'cos it would open up a few new things (e.g. Jacob's discount guns, was, I think, something you got from being his friend).

Re: GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
And so the rumour mill begins. Apparently the LAD DLC was only exclusive to M$ for 6 months and its meant to be comming to PS3 in august.
Quote:
The Lost And the Damned is the first of two planned episodic expansions to GTA IV. It was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive in February, but according to PSW Magazine, the add-on is about to land on the PS3.
In its latest issue, the magazine claimed that Microsoft only has a six-month exclusivity deal for the content, which expires in August. The article went on to say that the content will arrive on the PS3 once the deal has run its course.

EDIT** My bad forgot to add link - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/a...in-august.html

Re: GTA: IV - The Lost & Dammed
And if I remember correctly, the same magazine was saying that there was a GTA IV Home being released on Home last year?
Although I have it on 360, I wouldn't mind owning it on PS3 because I prefer the TLaD online to the Vanilla online.
