GTA4 DLC Delayed?

This was inevitable as the GTA4 DLC was originally planned for this month but it's now nearly the middle of the month and there has pretty much been a wall of silence from R* up until now

http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=289232

If they haven't even completed development and it hasn't been to MS for certification then it's going to be some considerable time yet

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

So much for the exclusive 360 DLC for GTA 4 by the time you get it everyone would have traded it in so no use to no one.

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

I was going to get this when it was released, I don't see any point now though. I've not been on it in ages, the game bores me. I mean, they're keeping the content fair too secretive. I think that is also putting people off from buying it.

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

I've not actually played GTA4 in months, so many other games have come out that were better. I even prefer Saints Row 2 to GTA as there is more to do and is a lot more fun.

So delaying the DLC doesn't bother me, maybe by the time its released I will have completed the game.

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

TBH I was not expecting it this year anyway. I think they were being optimistic or they knew and still used it as a way to get more copys sold on the 360. Guess it worked.

When you can do things like beat down a streaker with a garden gnome you know that you've found the gameplay holy grail

If the DLC puts some of the fun stuff back into GTA4 then maybe it'll be worth waiting for.

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

Bah.

The DLC wasn't what made me get the 360 version rather than the PS3 version, but it was what stopped me from trading it in once I'd finished the Story. Didn't think it'd take this long!

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

If it's going to be like having a whole new game when it does finally arrive, as they say it will be, i think it will be worth the wait and worth keeping hold of the game until then.

Or not. Looks like the DLC is now dated for Feb 09. As I have said before I didnt believe that they would get it out this year. Also finally theres some infor on what the DLC is.

Quote:
According to USA Today, the GTAIV "Lost and Damned" episodic DLC will release on February 17th, 2009 and feature main character Johnny Klebitz who's a member of the Liberty City biker gang "The Lost". Rockstar VP Dan Houser describes Johnny as "a very different character than Niko, with a very different background" and promises that "the story will show you a different side of Liberty City." No other story information was revealed and pricing is still up in the air. Just be happy we have a release date.

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

I was looking forward to GTAIV, but the actual game didn't live up to expectation and apart from one afternoon session and one achievement, I haven't touched it since just after iut was released.

Got Saints Row 2 yesterday for £19.99 from Argos. Will play this a whole lot more without a doubt!

Re: GTA4 DLC Delayed?

Although I'm not sure if I'll be getting it, it's good to know that this actually exists.

Q. Is The Lost the gang you attacked for Dwayne?
