X360 going Wrong. Questions.

My 360 is going wrong. It freezes from time to time, controllers have developed a habit of not finding the console, sometimes discs won't play or they say "To play this disc please put it in a xbox 360 console".

Now, it's less than a year old. I got it from Game with 3 year extended warranty. Is it best to deal with Game or Microsoft should something go wrong and what does each company do to remedy it? Will game just give me a new console to avoid me having to be without my 360 for a month or so?

If your warranty is with Game take it back to them and you should get a new console. Try and keep hold of your H/D though.

Re: X360 going Wrong. Questions.

Deal with Game, by law (Sale of Goods Act) it is the retailer's responsibility to remedy it.

If they then tell you to contact the mfr, then that is unlikely to prejudice you.

You should take it back to Game who will give you a new one seeing that you have the 3 year warranty with them. If you send it off to Microsoft you would probably be getting a refurbished one so i would say best bet is taking it to Game, that way you will get another one straight away and wont have to wait.

I wouldn't think so. My guess is Game would send it off for repair rather than replace the item. Though that depends on the terms of the warranty.

If its under warranty with game you will get a new one straight away, if still under warranty with microsoft(3 years for 3 red lights of death, 1 year for everything else) then you send it to microsoft and get it back in 2-3weeks.
