Xbox 360 help

Just posting this for a mate, hopefully someone will be able to point him in the right direction:

Not sure if anyone can help me but im having problems with my 360

Especially when trying to load a game..
When I put the disk in it start to spin up and then I get a white screen with the words” you need to insert disk into Xbox” (I think) and several other languages below it.
When I go into the dashboard screen it seems to think the game is a DVD.

After several attempts at starting it will work eventually but im getting tired of having to do it a bout 10 times before the game loads up.

Re: Xbox 360 help

I could be wrong, but that sounds like "backups" not agreeing with the DVD drive. I'd hazard a guess that you're running the iXtreme firmware on the DVD drive which will cause that same behaviour for backups that don't meet the stealth requirements - although it should do it pretty much all the time rather than 9 times out of 10.

Re: Xbox 360 help

It's juiced 2, and it's not a backup, it's original.

Re: Xbox 360 help

Check for scratches, it may be a dirty disk.

Re: Xbox 360 help

It may be the 360 itself.

The drive could be going, making the 360 think a perfectly good disc is dirty/scratched.

Call MS.
