Xbox 360 Fall Update - December 4th 2007

Microsoft reportedly confirmed the news to the Official Xbox Magazine, and revealed its biggest new feature as a service to let you download original Xbox titles like Halo.
Eventually it will make as much of its back catalogue available as possible, but for now the line-up includes Halo, Fable, Fahrenheit, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and Burnout 3.
Each game will cost 1200 Microsoft Points (GBP 10.20 / EUR 13.96).
MS also shed some light on its European video on demand service, which will unfortunately not be included in the 4th December update.
However, big studios like Warner Bros. are apparently signing up for the rental service, which lets you download and watch your favourite films in 720p.
You should realise that once you have downloaded a film you can have it for two weeks, and once you begin watching it you will have a day to finish it - it will delete itself after that.

Unless they're going to add achievements for downloadable Xbox games, i think the price is a bit high. Why pay more for a digital version than you would an original, physical one?

Can i give you some advice mate! If you have something useful to post, that's about said subject, then by all means do, if you haven't, don't bother as its a waste of time. 360 Owners like myself may want to play some old Xbox games, and who cares how much the points are (£10 isnt exactly a lot).

£10 isn't alot granted but paying £10 for Crash Bandicoot is a joke. The other games are ok but still a rip off, can get these games in disk form for less, and you wont have to waste bandwidth downloading them. Anyway £10 is a Friday night down the pub, You carry on tho waste your money

I can't stand those shoppers who go to one shop and just buy, without shopping for the best deal. Ebay has Crash bandicoot for £2.99+£2 P+P, just because M$ are selling it digitally its ONLY £10 lets buy it..... I see no logic in that at all and all I can say is you have more money than me.

This just seems a ploy to get you to buy a bigger HD.
Unless you're going to be able to transfer them to disk somehow (Which is doubtful) , yes, £10 for a digital d/l is way too much money.

It's called capitalism. If people are willing to pay it., someone will seel for that prices. No one is forcing you to pay it.
Buying via XBL has the disadvantage that it costs more, and you use bandwidth, but it has the advantage that you know you are getting a legit copy, and you'll get it in a few minutes rather than a couple of days or weeks.
Regarding searching for a bargain. Well, the way I see that is that my time costs money. If it's likely to "cost" me more than i'll save, it's not worth me looking.

They must be testing the update or something because LIVE keeps screwing up everyday.

They can't go online with a dodgy xbox so they wouldn't get the update, so I don't see how it would :/

Read up on stuff before you post, as you are wrong. Many people I know go online everyday with there back-up games, not a problem. Unless M$ start banning again, this update will be fine.
