Xbox wont load games
Just bought an Xbox360. Trouble is I have 2 games which work no problem, got myself 3 Games from Blockbusters to try before you buy. Soon as i put the disk in i get a message that says......
"This original Xbox game is not supported on your Xbox 360 console. An update to support this game may be available. For more inofo, goto www.xbox.com/games."
This message appears for all 3 games i have got.
I rang their support line and they told me of this file i download. I downloaded it and put it on to a CD and put it in my Xbox and installed it, The message still appears though, as you can imagine this is stressing me out.
Does anyone have any advice or come accross this problem?

Support for original xbox games on the 360 is mixed. Most of those that do work, involve having an update downloaded first but the 360 should download and apply the update itself.
Have you connected it up to the internet and set up the live account?

You do have the hdd dont you??? If you dont then it wont work but im sure xbox support have already told you that.
What games are you trying to play???

sorry but i have to say , you have just bought an x-box 360 , don't waste your money on the previous gen games , save up that extra and buy 360 games , there are lots of good titles from original x-box but seeing as you have only just got your 360 why waste your money buying x-box games  you have bought the next gen , so use it

Yes don't waste on Xbox 1 games.
You can often get some Xbox 360 games region free and rather cheap from play-asia.
For example:-
Gears of War £24.61
Fear £24.61
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent £20.50
MotoGP '06 £22.04

What are the names of the games?
As for using original Xbox games on the 360, there are loads of original Xbox games that are still excellent fun to play, if only they would all play on the 360.
When your looking at the backwards compatability list, please bear it in mind that it's backwards compatable for the Yanks, just because it's on the list does not mean that it works in the UK for some games.
