NTL set top box/ Xbox live via ICS? :-(
Hi all! So, my brother has an NTL set top box and i've been trying to set up ICS for his xbox live service. I have mine set up that way, but I have a NTL cable modem. For some reason, the ICS wont turn on on his PC. Is it even possible to use ICS with the STB, or am I flogging a dead, decaying horse?

If ICS won't start on the PC then I would think it's an issue on the PC. What networking hardware has he got in the PC? How many ethernet cards etc and what Operating System?

Hi. Thanks for taking time to reply so quickly. I installed a network card, which appears to be working okay. He has XP home also. No, i have'nt run the network creation wizard, as I didnt need to on mine. Ill give it a bash though. Oh and Paul. Yeah, it could be his PC. Didnt even consider that!

ok click networks places and set up home or small office network. Go through the options and make sure you hit this computer connects directly to the internet all other computers in the network connect through this(or similar)
Create a system restore point first so if anything goes wrong it will revert any changes
