Unhappy £39.99 deduction????

I just noticed £39.99 has been deducted from my credit card - from Microsoft

is this the next years payment for xbox live - as I have not used it in about 6 months. If so, how do I go about cancelling it next year?

Most certainly yes, just because you don't use it anymore doesn't mean it won't be cancelled automatically. You will need to ring Microsoft on the free number at www.xbox.com and they will sort it out and maybe even cancel the transaction.

As above, they are very helpful & if they can see that you have not used it then a refund is likely.

You need to cancel the account too.
