Re: Xbox live premium

the ntl 1.5meg xbox package is £39.99 per month- £2 extra. It used to be £5 extra, but when the standard broadband prices were increased (last year i think...) the console package prices were dropped form £5 extra to £2 extra

Re: Xbox live premium

but what do you get for the extra 2 quid ?????

I left NTL because 37.99 is way to much for BB, moved to BT and pay 26.99 for 1MB, being upgraded to 2MB FOC.

I can host 12 players on RS black arrow but when I had NTL, I could only hold 8. upload was **** on NTL.

Re: Xbox live premium

Nothing more than a 2 port router thingy & some technical support should something go wrong with it.

When it was £5 extra it was worth buying your own router instead, however now it's just much better to scrap the xbox service after a while & say you no longer want it.

Not sure if you have to send back the router or what?

It's not a router, just a switch. When I got the XBL service I asked them about whether it should be returned to NTL if I stop using the service, I was told that I didn`t have to return it, but we know what NTL's accuracy is like. But given that it is just a switch it isn`t worth much anyway.

Re: Xbox live premium

what you guys talking about all u need is an ethernet wire,, plug it into ur sacm if ur using 1 and usb into pc .. internet works same time as xbox live all they do is let another ip be controlled for ur xbox. no routers nout... as i sed b4 the sacm modem acts like a mini router with its own hub built in!

BTW i use a direct connection ethernet cable not the cross over 1

thanks chris

Re: Xbox live premium

You can connect to them without problems easily enough.

What DNS problems are you referring to Chris?
And what spoofing? do you mean the MAC address of the Xbox matching that of the PC?

Re: Xbox live premium

Spoof ur mac address from ur pc into ur xbox which i think means when u do this NTL will think ur modem is comunicating with ur pc when it is actually communicating with the xbox.
