How can i network my XBOX and PC?

I have bought a cross over cable to network my modded xbox (Xenium ICE modchip) to my PC thru a direct connection (xbox to NIC). They both recognise, xbox network light turns on and my PC tells me im connected. I want to transfer some saves from my PC to XBOX and im going to be using XBOX Saves Manager Version 4.5. When i press connect on the software, it just doesnt seem to, could someone help me out on this please? Thanks.

Personally, I prefer Flash FXP, & have never had any issues with it.

Do you have a router &/or a firewall that could also be preventing access?

[Edit]-What I.P address is your XBOX getting?

Hi, i use zone alarm pro, do you think that could be stopping it? The xbox's IP is 192.168.1.32 Also its using Dynamic IP, should i try changing it? thanks

Same as Neil here, i use Flash fxp and never have any problems with it,
use this and set up a site in fxp and as long as your ip is set on xbox as in fxp and you can set it to annoymous connection then there should be any problems
there is a possibilty that zone alarm could be blocking the transfers try shutting it down temporarily and trying it then.

I've got FLash FXP now, i put my xbox IP in and username in and password, but it still doesnt connect. Is there anything i should change? If someone experienced has the time, could you write me up a small step by step to network xbox and PC correctly plz, like working IP's and ports and the rest of it, greatly appreciated, thanks.

EDIT: All i want to be able to do is transfer saved game files from my PC to my XBOX, no xbox live or anything

make sure you have gone into your evox dashboard settings and set the ip / default gateway in there. and also u need to set it to "static ip" then try. good luck
