Ethernet cable

What cable do I need for router to xbox connection. I have seen R45 crossover cable for PC to Xbox is this the wrong cable?

I use a standard rj-45 ethernet cable cat-6

Nope!


The ntl broadband & console service gives you 2 IP addresses - 1 for the PC & 1 for the XBox.

If you have a router, there is no need at all to have the ntl console service, as the router will be able to provide all the IP addresses that you need.


Of course, ntl would prefer that you did pay them, but my own personal opinion from reading the ntl Terms & Conditions is that you're OK with using a router & not the ntl console service - http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...841#post215841


Plenty of people use XBL on ntl *without* paying ntl for the extra console service.
