Hi Guys,

I'm trying to access my CM's diagnostic pages using the above IP address but I keep getting page not found errors, or an annoying diversion to the msn search page which says the same thing but with more words.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I've had a look at Robin's site and can't get much help from there (unusually!).

Cheers all.

Sorry got my quote wrong

Kitty said

Might do this right 1 day

Er yes you can. if its a ntl home 120 or 200 then you can get to the diag page with 192.168.100.1. I have found if it is a 200 modem you sometimes have to reboot the modem first ? dont know why its just the 200. If its a settop box then no you cannot access the modem in that way.

Hope that helps

If you have a router, it might be blocking that IP range. I had a cheap(ish) router do that.

Me too - Had the same problem accessing my new Router at the weekend. Its cause the proxy was manually set.

Tools > Internet Options > Connectyions > Lan Settings > Advanced > Exceptions (in IE).

Re: 198.168.100.1

If you set proxies manually then just add the cable modem/router IP, or a list of all local IPs if you have a network to the exclusion list in IE/Mozilla.

That way you can keep your manual proxy and still access the router/cable modem/local webpages without going out through the WAN first.
