Faster than 10Mb?

Faster than 10Mb?

Hey

I was downloading files today and i was getting download rates of 2mb a sec, shouldnt it be only around 1.2mb?

You often see that at the start of the download if you're using a browser to download. Yes you should get around 1.2 on 10mbit.

I think this just sometimes happens but usually only for a bit. A few months ago I got 10 meg speed on a 1 meg connection for a few minutes

Bet you were using Firefox...... it's false reporting or the fact Firefox will start the download even before you have decided where to save the file so when you do click save it's nearly done thus reporting the fast speed.
