Re: Loss of connection NR

Any lights on the modem not lit or flashing when the cable is connected?
Getting the cable disconnection message is normal when you pull the lead from a router or SACM etc.
Power off the pc and modem, plug the lead back in, power up modem, wait for lights to settle and reboot PC.
If any lights keep flashing let us know and also tell us which lights are lit and which are not.

Re: Loss of connection NR

Great Yarmouth was due to be "serviced" yesterday:

Quote:
On the morning of Tuesday the 18th of July between midnight and 6 AM,

Network upgrades will result in a loss of service in Stockton, Andover, Salisbury, Seven Kings, Wearside, Oxford, Bolton, Stockport, Great Yarmouth, Folkstone, Lincoln, Greenock, Broomhill, Stafford, Lancing, Erskine, Kirkintilloch, Lincoln, Warwick and the surrounding areas.

Network rebalancing across the country will result in a brief loss of service for all customers.
(information obtained from the NTL Status link at the bottom of every forum page).

Perhaps this has overrun?

I`m in Gt Yarmouth on a Cable modem and all seems fine, I did notice my STB has been upgraded with a new Mini Guide today.
