What is going on?

Hi,

For the last 4 weeks or so I have intermittant problems with my 10MB broadband connection. I have problems streaming radio, viewing webpages and doing just about everything online.

I called NTL 'Tech Support' last monday at approximately 1100hrs, I made the mistake of giving the woman my old 'MacID' from my old surfboard modem which seemed to throw her, as before it was all my fault for letting virus's and malware on my computer (it's clean), now it was a case of using old equipment and a modem I shouldn't have on the NTL system. No matter how many times I tried to explain to her that my modem was a small blue thing, I no longer had a surfboard, she still insisted I had an old modem and I should use the new one. Eventually I managed to convince her that I had received a new modem sometime ago and my giving her the wrong MacID was a mistake. I think she accepted it, as she then insisted the problem was with my Antivirus then with firewall. This is despite my informing her that over the weekends, the connection to almost everything is bareable barr my connections to various counterstrike servers which now seem to be in their 60's at 0200hrs through to 0600hrs as opposed to the 20's that they used to be. Apparantly this is 'normal'. It maybe 'normal' now, bu it certainly wasn't a month ago... What's changed!?

So before I get back on the phone to tech support, can someone tell me from the caps below what is happening with my connection. So at least I can tell NTL what's wrong, as after an hour last monday and continual problems nothing seems to have changed.

It's now another week and despite my being able to stream radio, view webpages relatively quickly yesterday. I now find everything slower and just as frustrating as last monday.

I am located in LN5 and connect through Nottingham.

Thanks.
