Trouble connecting to game

hello all, this is my first post on the board. I am hoping someone can help as I am struggling to connecting on pro evo 5(football game).I know this isnt the sort of enquiry you normally get but having read some of the posts you obviously know what your talking about.

here is the error message I get when trying to connect which has something to do with UDP port
"Unable to transmit using UDP port 5739. You may need to connect directly to the internet or adjust your connection device ie router setting etc. Assign DMZ, Port Mapping, Configure NAT Table and other router settings to the console."

i am not that technical so not sure how to solve this problem. I have NTL broadband Ntl250 modem and running on ethernet. Are there any settings I should change??

On the PC do you have a Firewall? If so which one? If so it looks like you will have to allow these ports through the Firewall you have.

I use ZoneAlarm firewall. I have allowed program access for the game. Is this what you mean?

You might also need to enable the program as a server. Best solution will be to go to the Game website and look through their support FAQ.

i checked my firewall and if i have it on medium security it allows me to use udp ports so all good now. thanks for the replies!!
