Thumbs down Pin

Sent a PM to a staff member before I read the stickies... Whoops!

Anyway I'm wondering if I can find out my pin as my HDD went in for RMA and it was the only place my NTL PIN was.

I tried the helpline, but I don't have much patience with looping music so I gave up

Thanks.

Re: Pin

Are you saying you're trying to reinstall ntl on your machine? If so you don't need your PIN!

Plus if it's a simple reinstall then this shouldn't be in Billing...

Re: Pin

Yes I'm using the BoradJump installer thing, as I have a new hard drive.

And yes in fact I do need the PIN.

Also, "ntl Billing & Installation Discussion".

Can anyone retrieve it?

Re: Pin

Is your modem connected to your PC connected via USB or Ethernet?

BTW, yes you do need the Pin to install Broadjump. However, you do not need to install Broadjump to use NTL. If your modem uses Ethernet (also called RJ45 or Lan) and you are using Windows 2000 or XP, the chances are you will not need the CD at all.

If you are using USB (long slim rectangular connector), then you need the CD to install the Modem drivers, but nothing else. Just let windows detect the modem and when it asks where to find the drivers, tell it to search the CD Rom drive.

See http://www.cableforum.co.uk/forum/article.php?a=13 for details.
