Terayon TJ 210 and 10Mb

Hi,

Have been put on to the NTL 10Mb service but still have the old tj210 sacm on ethernet which seems unable to run at anything over 8Mb.

Does anyone know whether the TJ210 will have a automatic upgrade sent downline to it? If not how do I get NTL to replace it with a modem that will run the full 10Mb?

Cheers

I was told by CS that the modem is capable of the upgrade.

NTL know which model you have and will send you a new one if they can't make the Terry work with 10Mb.

I rang CS today and they said that 10Mb was still only a trial!! They did not know anything about upgrading modems!

Sadly this very much depends on who answers the phone. The full details of the upgrade programme have apparently not been communicated to staff very effectively.

NTL's published statement on this is that all 3Mb customers will be on an official 10Mb service by the end of this year. That means they're going to have to replace your modem by the end of this year if it won't do 10Mb.

Now, as we are developing yet another 10Mb thread here ... thread closed. Please feel free to continue discussion in the official 10Mb thread here.
