2Mb on a Pace Box
Is it at all possible to get 2Mb on a Pace box. I have a Pace box (unsure of the exact model) downstairs, and a Pace box upstairs. The recent upgrade to turn everything blue has ****ed my TiVos ability to change channels (it's not just me, loads of people are having the same problem), so I wondered if it's techincally possible to get NTL to switch my broadband service to the downstairs box, get that in front of my TiVo so it will work, and all's hunky dory.... or is this impossible?
NB: I'm already pretty much sold on Sky anyways. Same money, plus for just a £49 outlay up front I'll get Sky+ which will work so much better than TiVo talking to my NTL box, and it saying Nah, **** You, I'll do what the hell I want!

Re: 2Mb on a Pace Box
AFAIK you need a Samsung STB for the 2Mb (or 3Mb) service.
What speed broadband are you on at the moment, & what box do you currently use for it?
(little confused...sounds like you already have 2Mb, & want to swap it from one Pace box to another Pace box...so why ask if it will work on a Pace box?)

Re: 2Mb on a Pace Box
Sorry, typo in the original post. I had a Pace box, I've had this swapped for a Samsung, but this is being a pain in the **** with my TiVo since the recent upgrade. I'm wondering whether there's anything I can do with NTL or whether a move to Sky+ is the better option.

Re: 2Mb on a Pace Box
Have no experience with the Tivo but I think my wife would get rid of me before lose the Sky+. Does exactly what it says on the box and is so useful she wonders how she managed before it.
I have Cable for the phone and broadband and Sky for tv. Seems to work a treat.

You could try using a separate SACM for your internet connection, Chris. I was waiting a long time for a Samsung box, for 2Mb, and someone at CS suggested I get a SACM and keepusing the Pace box, so I did. Works fine.
AFAIK from what I read here, some areas will let you do this; others won't.

Re: 2Mb on a Pace Box
The Pace box can not cope with any thing higher than a 1MB connection
